OICE celebrates its opening with a Kick-Off Symposium.

The plenary session will be openend by the President of the FAU, Prof. Dr. Karl-Dieter Grüske. Which is in fact a great honour for the OICE. Key note speaker is Prof. Spencer Shorte, Director Imagople, Institute Pasteur, Paris. Prof. Shorte will also give a second talk within the Friday session.

The aim of the Kick-Off Symposium is to bring together scientists of various disciplines and background in one way or the other related to imaging, from within the Friedrich-Alexander-University, the Max-Planck-Institute for the Science of Light, the Advanced Optical Technologies excellence cluster and the Fraunhofer IIS with its Biomedical Imaging Department. Download Kick-Off Flyer. Thus there will be a good number of short talks from all Faculties and Institutes. Ranging from physics, engineering, life science to medical research. Speakers will be invited to meet in a more informal setting on Thursday evening at the speakers dinner, which will take place at the "La Barca", Schiffstraße 12, Erlangen. The speakers dinner is kindly supported by Leica Microsystems.
